Vivek Kumar

MBA Class of 2010
Came to Chapel Hill from Delhi, India

After completing my undergraduate in Electrical Engineering, I worked as a software engineer for a while before transitioning into the technology consulting space. Prior to joining Kenan-Flagler, I was working in Scottsdale, AZ – a place I absolutely adore. That being said, I am currently having a great time in Chapel Hill too. I absolutely love the greenery and the woods in and around North Carolina –a welcome change from the very different but equally beautiful landscape in Arizona.

I am an avid traveler and hiker. I have hiked in more than 10 national parks across the country and traveled to around 40 states within India and US combined. I am very passionate about music, classic rock in particular, and have been to more than 15 concerts in the past 3 years. I have also been involved with a youth exchange organization where I helped and mentored exchange students from 4 different continents to transition to the US for a school year. It definitely helped me enhance my knowledge of world cultures – a subject I have a keen interest in. In India, I was actively involved with other community initiatives primarily targeted towards social causes.

I look forward to continuing my keen interest in blogging through the Kenan-Flagler blog but without sacrificing my personal blog. I hope that through this blog readers would be able to glean unique insights into the life here at Kenan-Flagler.

Happy reading!

    Hi Vivek,

I am a Civil Engineer with 4 years of experience in Singapore, the UAE and Hong Kong and planning on applying to the fall 09 MBA intake at UNC. I am just curious if there are any Civil Engineers in your class.

    Tks
