Sherry Wallace

Director, MBA Admissions

Hi. I’m Sherry Wallace, Director of MBA Admissions. I’m originally from Henderson, North Carolina, a small town about 60 miles northeast of Chapel Hill.

I’m a double Tar Heel since I earned both my BA and MBA at UNC. I spent a few years in the late eighties in Chicago as an advertising executive at the Leo Burnett company. That provided me with a great foundation in marketing, consumer behavior, and the CPG industry. I returned to North Carolina to get married, and I transitioned my career to brand management on the Bubble Yum bubble gum brand. I spent most of the nineties directing the marketing for the NBA HOOPS and SkyBox brands of NBA basketball cards plus a host of other entertainment cards and collectibles. I joined the MBA Admissions team nine years ago.

While I’ve had the pleasure of working on some pretty cool brands over the years, the UNC MBAs are definitely the ones closest to my heart. I’m very proud to claim all the UNC MBA graduates since 2001 as “my product.”
