Senior Associate Director, MBA Admissions

Hi – I’m Lisa Beisser from the MBA Admissions office. I’ve been at Kenan-Flagler since 2000. The regions I am responsible for in admissions include the US Northeast, US West, and Latin America.  I’m married to Steven, who is a Kenan-Flagler alum from the class of 1996.

I am originally from the Boston area, but moved to Chapel Hill about 8 years ago. While I miss the ocean and the Red Sox, I can’t say there’s too much more I miss about Boston. I went to Tufts University as an undergrad and got my MBA at the MIT Sloan School of Management. I worked in management consulting for all of my career until I decided to really switch gears and work in MBA admissions.

I am a Spanish speaker and lover of all things Spanish and Latin American (is there an equivalent to the French ‘francophile’? ’spanophile’ doesn’t seem to work). I’ve spent a lot of my life trying to see the world. These days, when I’m not traveling to recruit new MBA students, I spend my free time chasing my two young daughters around my house. But I wouldn’t have it any other way.
